Early Communication Skills
Early Communication begins with the simple need to express a desire. A want. A need. A dislike. It isn’t necessarily verbal. We work on this primarily in younger children while building on speech.
Children learn to say “I’m hungry” by touching his or her stomach. They request something that they like by signing “I want”.
Children learn simple makaton to express themselves.
