Early Intervention Program

The Early Intervention Programme is an educational programme designed for young children with developmental delays from birth to six years. It is a centre-based programme where children attend in small groups of 5-8 children, once or twice a week. They attend the sessions together with at least one parent or caregiver.
Each child enrolled at SPICES follows an Individual Education Plan drawn up after a comprehensive assessment. This programme seeks to stimulate all areas of the child’s development in a holistic way.

Testimonials

Teachers are helpful and very supportive. I love the concept over there that parents can also learned how to deal with their special one.

从一个不会跟着指示和无法完成 table task的小朋友 到现在慢慢越来越进步
越来越喜欢去上课 这是我感到很欣慰很感谢SPICES 的地方。

SPICES help and services came to us at the point we were really having financial difficulties. We as parents benefited in many ways especially during MCO which happened to be my pregnancy and delivery month.

They gave me a lot of guidance and ideas to train my son at home. They always try to comfort and remind my husband and I the importance to keep ourselves in optimal condition as we have to make effort in helping our son consistently just like completing a marathon.

We have learned so much from the teachers on how to guide him.
Nowadays, he is able to do certain task at home independently without our help.

很感恩SPICES
让一个什么都不懂只会尖叫的孩子 逐渐了解了什么叫“wait”
了解了需要 “request”
让他学会开口说 “I want”

It has been a very good experience. I have never actually observed or taught children in such closeness before this. Being here. Has also shown me that each child is different and every person has their worth – variety is the spice of life.

As an intern, SPICES has provided me a well-balanced schedule, covering all areas of development, including the self-help skills. The teachers here are patient and caring, and they have a good bond with the parents too.

During my time here I have lots of hands on experience with special needs children. Instead of studying about symptoms. And there’s like I usually did in class, I got to learn about practical ways and techniques to communicate with special needs children.

The most important skills we have learned with SPICES are awareness and techniques to identify and personalise teaching methods to guide our child. By mastering the correct teaching methods, we can guide our child to learn effectively. The spiritual support and knowledge transfer that SPICES have given to us as parents have much greater impact to our child than anything else.

SPICES has been a tremendous help for my daughter throughout her journey, from the initial diagnosis of Global Developmental Delay to the later diagnosis of dyslexia. The program has significantly supported her social development, and since joining SPICES, she has become noticeably happier.
As a parent, I’ve gained a better understanding of my daughter through the consistent weekly progress updates from the teachers. SPICES has also been a source of emotional support for me. Whenever I felt lost or helpless after each diagnosis or doctor’s feedback, SPICES was the place I could turn to for guidance and reassurance.

We enrolled Hong Ze in the early intervention program in SPICES when he was diagnosed with ASD, and it has made a world of difference. The individualized attention and support he receives have helped him develop joint attention, self care skills communication and social skills, which he was struggling with before.
The program’s structured approach and the team of dedicated teachers have not only enhanced his abilities but also brought a sense of confidence and joy to our family.
SPICES tecahers worked closely with us every quarter to create a personalized plan, addressing our child’s unique needs and strengths.
We’ve seen tremendous growth in his emotional and behavioral development, and we are so grateful for the positive impact this early intervention has had on his future. It’s reassuring to know that we’re setting him up with the best possible foundation for success. SPICES early intervention has made a lasting impact on our child’s growth, and we couldn’t be more thankful for this valuable program.
